Already, 32.9% of the nation's gross domestic product was made up of the digital economy in 2017, and it is planned for China to acocunt for 20% of global data by 2020. This is being done to allow the country to focus upon developing cutting-edge technologies while having the money to do it. Already, China's largest truck-hailing company has built a data-driven platform to help truckers find shippers to reduce empty miles and waiting times between loads. A major problem China has with their push into the digital world, however, is their need to strengthen their resistance to cyber attacks.
